Varanasi Pop-Up at Carrollton Market

Join us November 19th at Carrollton Market for our next pop-up featuring the food of Varanasi!

Hindus consider Varanasi one of the holiest cities, flocking there in great numbers to bathe in the sacred Ganges River. Known by hundreds of names, Varanasi is most commonly called Banaras by those who live there. Temples that line the Ganges, ghats that windingly lead to the water front, and countless shops and food stalls along the way exemplify the bustling life that has inhabited Varanasi for nearly 2,500 years.

Our menu for the nineteenth is completely vegetarian to highlight the Hindu presence in the city. This event will take place just two days before Dev Deepavali - a stunning candle-lit ceremony celebrated on the banks of the Ganges 15 days after Diwali.

We are accepting walk-ins for this event. However, reserving a ticket on eventbrite will gaurantee you a seat in the restaurant at the allotted time. Each ticket is per person. A party of more than one person should reserve their tickets under a single group name for the same time slot.

We hope to see you there!

Kerala Pop-Up at Carrollton Market

On September 10th at Carrollton Market, Thali Llama will present a menu of traditional meals from Kerala. Our menu features a collection of seafood dishes, as well as some vegetarian dishes, in homage to the maritime practices of the coastal state.

Recently hit by devastating monsoon rains, the usually vibrant state of Kerala is now in need of aide. All ticket sales will be donated to a Kerala relief fundraiser under the direction of UNO students. As ticket sales are being donated, all ticket purchases will be non-refundable.

A single ticket purchase guarantees you one reserved seat at the designated ticket time.

We hope to see you September 10th!

Kolkata Pop-Up at Carrollton Market

Kolkata is in the midst of a transformation that focuses on tradition and indigenous Indian history. Spelled Calcutta under British rule, the city's transition has begun with rethinking its own name as well as renaming other areas in Bengali and Hindi. With our Kolkata menu, we try to uphold the same restorative aspect, presenting traditional recipes that pre-date the colonial era.

Goa Pop-Up at Carrollton Market

Goa - the smallest state in India - is an area with secluded beaches, vivid food markets and a vibrant nightlife. Goa screams uniqueness with a huge Portuguese influence & a large russian presence. The Portuguese influence is especially reflected in Goan cuisine, which is sweeter and uses more vinegar than in other regions of India. Fresh fish from the Arabian Sea and local fruit varieties lead this small state to make a large and lasting impression to any visitor.
